It’s getting close!
I just started book 5 and it’s getting to close to the release date now. All the local bookshops are going to be open at midnight and there are Harry Potter parties and Hogwarts classes being advertised to try to get people going!
JK Rowling was on the TV last night and she says she howled with tears after writing one chapter. And she also said more than two people die - in fact it’s a ‘bloodbath’. Oh dear - that makes me so, so worried…
I’m going to start book 5 in just a few minutes here…
Oh no! There are certain people I really don’t want to see die. I’m excited and scared all at the same time, and the book isn’t even out yet! LOL I keep having to tell myself “It’s a story, Laura. These people aren’t real.”
Im seriously hoping Dumbledore comes back to life in book7!!
I knew this last book was going to be a blood bath–look at the way the series has progressed you can just see it coming. I think a few Weasleys are going to disappear this time around.
I just finished GoF and Malfoy’s little interrupted speech on the train stood out to me - when he says that ‘you all will be the first to go’ when he is talking to Harry, Ron and Hermione. I hope it isn’t JKR doing a bit of foreshadowing…
jessalu, I hope you aren’t right about that foreshadowing, but I’m sure at least one of our favorite characters will die. I plan on having plenty of tissues handy.
I finished book 5 on Sat and couldn’t resist book 6 any more. So I read it on Sunday.
I think I might start over with 1 and read them all one more time before book 7 comes out.
