Spoilers are okay here
Sorry about all the shouting a couple posts back. I’m clearly way behind, and it took a member complaining about that post and the one after it before I knew. I’m sorry.
Knowing that most people here have read the books at least once, often a number of times, I never said that spoilers weren’t allowed. Just too hard to do. Besides, all the information in the books is pretty hard to avoid if you read any Harry Potter posts anywhere on the Internet.
Steps have been taken. The source of the angry posts and the yelling has been stopped.

It’s unfortunate that it got to this. I know CPortlas personally, and I can tell you she never meant it to be angry. She was honestly surprised that spoilers were allowed. And, in fact, it was never specified up front, through honest error, so it seems unfair that she be kicked out when she’s been enjoying this too. I think some people have overreacted. I realize it’s your site, Laura, but since you didn’t specify up front about spoilers (again, I’m not blaming you, it was an honest oversight) wouldn’t forgive and forget be the better policy?
I also didn’t say that spoilers were not allowed… I didn’t encourage or discourage them in any way. I do, however, mean to avoid angry outbursts and shouting as much as possible.

Unless there is stuff behind the scenes that we didn’t see it does seem a bit severe to remove her. I think it was a case of misunderstanding.
You are quite right of course - it isn’t a democracy - however you can have benign dictators *g*
